Description:

2011 Spring harvest. This material come from Baoshan area, 2600 meters high mountain closed with Mengmao village. There is home for wild arbor big tea trees in ecological environment. This tea is 100% organic - more than 90% vegetation cover, it's a beautiful place free from pollution. Residence is known for undiscovered "paradise", "tea tree ancestor".

This kind of wild tea has special purple color leaves. This tea is called three color tea. Fresh leaves are purple, dried tea is dark and shiny and the infused tea leaves are green. Traditional “sha-qing” (kill-green) processing in wok and sun-dried. This tea material is composed from dark leaves, some shiny buds and yellow leaves. Dry leaves have fresh and graceful aroma. Yellow color tea soup is very fragrant. Full, thick and sweet, very tasty ! Long and heavy floral aromatic aftertaste.

This kind of raw puerh material is very good for drink now. It is soft in the mouth without astringency or bitterness. This tea was pressed in Menglong TF, in limited quantity 100 kilos.

We also offer the same loose material - "2011 Mengmao Lao Shu Ye Sheng Maocha - Puprle Varietal Wild Arbor Loose Tea 100g" 100g per cake, 10 cakes in bamboo tong

Great pu-erh from purple colored wild tea tree leaves

5 stars 5.0 This review helped: 0 / 0

I am writing this review with my last piece of cake left since the purchase of this tea one year ago. I must say that the taste was changing enormously over the time – it was better and better :-). In the beginning the taste and smell was pleasantly smoky. After about half year start to dominate a strong fruity aroma with a subtle smoky flavor.
The infusion is light green, clear. The taste is full, balanced, with a delicate flavor and a pleasant, slightly smoky, finish. No bitterness. Hui gan is fast. Very stimulative tea, evokes pleasant atmosphere.
Now I really regret that the cake is only 100 grams and I can no longer follow the development of this great tea. Purchased for $ 5.50 in 2012. Unfortunately it is not available for purchase anymore.

7g, gaiwan 170ml, water 100°C, first wash 10s. Very firmly pressed cake. First steeping was longer - about 30s - 10/20/30/40/60/90/120/180

Quotes - Pu-erh

„After initial taste and aroma, the first thing tea drinkers are likely to focus on is known in Chinese as 回甘 [huí gān]. In English, a near literal translation is “Returning Sweetness,” but we can think of this loosely as aftertaste. You can experience this clearly in most good teas, and probably already have. In the best teas, though, the taste can go on for hours.“

Quotes

„Pu-erh shape - Tuocha, Bowl, or Nest - A convex knob-shaped tea, its size ranges from 3g to 3 kg or more, with 100g, 250g and 500g being the most common. The name for tuocha is believed to have originated from the round, top-like shape of the pressed tea or from the old tea shipping and trading route of the Tuo River.[16] In ancient times, tuocha cakes may have had holes punched through the center so they could be tied together on a rope for easy transport.“
